A masterclass in brand marketing
ooking for a masterclass in brand marketing? Go to Nashville.
I spent the last several days there gathering with personal injury attorneys from around the country. Hats off to Darryl Isaacs and Mandy Simpson, CTA and the entire Brain Trust Legal Group for putting on a great event. 👏
While we compared notes, Nashville put on a class itself. Music City has such a strong, clear and unwavering brand identity. Everyone around you is on their way to or from a live concert. My morning barista, musician. My rep at the Apple Store was a talented singer serenading me while I picked up what I needed. Just walking down the street you can hear more live music (all genres) in one earshot than I might catch in a month (maybe months) elsewhere.
For a city with no beach, no Disney, and the same number of sunny days each year as Milwaukee or St. Louis it’s breaking tourism records.
📈 Approaching 20 million visitors a year (30% year-over-year growth).
💰 A 10 to 1 ratio of tourists to locals is bringing tens of billions in tourism revenue each year.
👪 100 new residents moved into Nashville each day last year.
I’d say the brand is valuable and growing. Impressive.
